 Formative
assessment is an important quick win for the applicaton
of ICT in the classroom. Sphinx provides tools for authoring,
customising, playing and sharing interoperable quizzes.
Its authoring tools are powerful and at the same time
easy enough for the non-technical classroom teacher
to use. The customisation tool allows teachers to select
particular questions or sections from larger question
banks, or set random selection and timer controls. The
play-back engine provides excellent feedback to the
student. Supporting QTI 1.2, the most widely implemented
standard for interoperability, Sphinx integrates with
Alpha Engage, allowing you to combine commercial learning
objects with your own, home produced assessments.
