showing four main programs: Supervisor, for teachers; Launcher, for students;
Packager, for content authors; and Administrator, for the systems administrator.
Relationships: Supervisor allows the teacher to assign work to students.
Launcher reports results data back to Supervisor; Supervisor and Launcher
allow work to be exchanged for marking; Packager allows plug-and-play
registration of new content onto the system for use by teachers, using
the Registrar component; both Supervisor and Packager allow the use of
drag-and-drop visual sequencing. Features: Launcher will run content 'anytime-anywhere';
it provides a personal workspace to students; it allows automatic authentication
onto third party password-protected websites; and it manages bookmarks
and preferences. Packager manages DRM, competency and branding; it manages
object identities; it imports content from SCORM; and it allows QTI assessment
authoring. Administrator imports and edits records from MIS, allows the
systems administrator to monitor security and usage; and to organise and
catalogue content.
